AKAHI ART’s 1th Miniature Painting Juried Art Competition will be opening for submissions soon!
Artists from around the world are invited to submit their finest miniature masterpieces, celebrating intricate detail, delicate brushwork, and storytelling on a small scale. Whether inspired by traditional styles, contemporary expressions, cultural heritage, or imaginative modern themes — all interpretations of Miniature Art are welcome.
All mediums and styles are encouraged, from realism to abstraction.
Winners will receive cash prizes, certificates of excellence, international recognition, and a feature on AKAHI ART’s esteemed platform.
CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
Join our International Juried Miniature Painting Competition!
Artists of all mediums and styles are invited to showcase their finest miniature artworks, celebrating precision, detail, and storytelling on a small scale. We welcome themes inspired by culture, nature, mythology, daily life, and abstract imagination — all captured in intricate miniature form.
This is your chance to present Miniature Paintings in various styles, including traditional, contemporary, watercolor, gouache, modern, and black-and-white works.
Eligibility: Participants must be 18 years or older.
CATEGORY
All forms of visual art will be considered, including but not limited to Miniature Painting, Mixed Media, Drawing, and Digital Art inspired by the intricate traditions and contemporary interpretations of miniature art.
DEADLINE
The Deadline for submission OCTOBER 26, 2025! NOTE THAT THIS DEADLINE WILL NOT BE EXTENDED!
AWARDS & PRIZES
Up to $3,500 in guaranteed cash prizes will be awarded winning artists.
The grant money provided is unrestricted and can be utilized in any way the recipient artist desires. The prizes offered will be determined based on the number and quality of artworks submitted, and they are as follows:
First Prize Award | $300-$500
Runner-Up Prize Award | $150-$350
Merit Prize Award | $75-$250
Talent Prize Award | $25-$150
Honorable Mention Award
Finalist Award
All award-winning artists, including Honorable Mentions and Finalists, will be presented with professionally designed Certificates of Recognition.
** Note that AKAHI ART doesn’t promise entrant artists to win a prize in money or money’s worth in any of its competitions. Instead, only artists selected by an independent jury from a pool of applicants will be eligible to receive professionally designed Certificates of Recognition. In case there are joint winners for any of the cash prizes the money will be split evenly among contestants. Similarly, if a category does not receive enough entries to be judged fairly within that category alone, it will be considered alongside other categories with sufficient entries. The final prize amount will depend on the total number of entries but will always be within the indicated range.

FEES
The entry fee for each artwork is $15 (non-refundable).
Up to $3,500 in cash prizes will be given out to winning artists.**

IMAGE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please make sure to meet all of the specifications outlined below:
1. Which file format is required for my submission?
-Only JPEG or JPG files are accepted.
2. What is the file size requirement for submission?
-Less than 2MB is preferred, but we will accept files up to 5MB maximum.
3. How should I crop my image?
-Your image should be cleanly cropped, showing only the artwork.
-Remove any borders, frames, backgrounds, or unnecessary elements.
4. How clear should my image be?
-Ensure your image is in sharp focus, not blurry.
-The artwork should be clearly visible from a front-facing view.

HOW TO APPLY
STEP 1: Choose the number of artworks you’d like to submit from one of the options below.
STEP 2: Click on the number of artworks and proceed to make a payment. You can pay by PayPal or via credit card.
STEP 3: After successful payment, you’ll be redirected to a page where you can upload your images and other details.
